The answer is very simple,Google maps check the traffic by tracking moving of android phones on roads.When we travel on roads from car/bike and our Android phone or iphone has location service enabled on it,then our phone sends anonymous data to Google,telling how fast we are moving on road.Google uses this data to calcute how many cars are moving on the road and how fast they are moving.So the more people using the app,the more accurate is the traffic data.

Using the facts given above,a German artist Simon Weckert,pulled a clever stunt to trick Google Maps into thinking that there was a traffic.He dragged a cart full of 99 smartphones with Google Maps navigation turned on down the streets of Berlin.Although the road was completely clear,it quickly turned from green to red on the app.

ऊपर दिए गए तथ्यों का उपयोग करते हुए, एक जर्मन कलाकार साइमन वेकर्ट ने गूगल मैप्स को ट्रिक करने के लिए एक चतुर एक्सपेरिमेंट किया जिसमें यह सोचा गया था कि वाहा ट्रैफिक है।99 स्मार्टफोन से भरी एक गाड़ी को खींचा गया। सड़क पूरी तरह से खाली थी,पर एक्सपेरिमेंट चालू होते ही यह जल्द ट्रैफिक हरे से लाल रंग में बदल गया।
